Thanks missbittens! I shall definitely let you know how the screening goes. It’s a new version of the film, so I have no idea how the audience is going to react! Keep those fingers crossed for us!
Do you know when they announce winners? I thought they’d do it at the end of the festival, but that’s come and gone and they still don’t seem to have given out the awards yet…
There’s a press release on their web site (londonindependent.org). It’s all a bit under the radar, but it looks as if they didn’t give many awards out this year. Probably due to them not having much in the way of sponsorship! It doesn’t look as though they had a best horror category this year, so I guess Credo was never in the running. I didn’t see the winning films or hear anything about them, so I couldn’t tell you what they were like.
It was a fun screening, although a little chaotic! But what do you expect when a film festival is held in a bar! The Roxy is a great place to relax and watch a DVD or big screen football, but it’s probably not the best place to hold a screening – especially when you can hear all the chit chat in the bar behind the curtain! But it was great to see some of the cast and crew again and have a few drinks with them. It was like a family reunion! (Without the squabbling!)
